Mark Teixeira was convinced that he was being thrown at, so the Tex man slid into second taking out Elvis Andrus with a take out slide that would have made Charlie Brown blush.

Said Teixeira, "Every time I've faced him since, there seem to be balls near my head, near my body, and today I got hit twice, not the right way to play the game. Unfortunately, you know, that guy has been doing it his whole career."

Hideki Matsui and Jorge Posada each homered in the rout of the Rangers.

Batting Line of the Night: Jorge made up for his poor throw early in the game by collecting three hits (one homer) and driving in a small army.

Pitching Line of the Night: Burnett wasn't as good as his last outing (eight hits and three runs) but he was good enough (thanks to Bomber bats) for the win, striking out eight batters while lasting seven innings.
